Visiting Call Centers in the Philippines

While visiting call centers in the Philippines I too this video of the Manila Skyline.  It is pretty cool and I am finding the people to be super polite and friendly.

Nice view from your hotel room. Living in Manila is like any big city. I think that the skyline shows people just how modern and competitive the Philippines is compared to other countries. As for the smog, have you ever stayed in a hotel near Newark Airport in New Jersey? Have you ever experienced the stench of the Staten Island landfill? How about experiencing the fires and other natural disasters in California? The smog is not like that everyday in Manila. If you would venture outside of the city, you would find that the Philippines is a beautiful paradise of mountains and clear oceans. As the other person who responded said, “…the people are super polite and friendly”. This is true. I have lived and worked in several call centers in the Philippines for five years and found Filipinos to be great at customer service. They are also the only English speaking country in Asia. Their national language is both English and Tagalog. I always say to people, if they are friendly, polite and patient and you can understand them they must be from the Philippines.
